Client statement

“With the new tracking solution, we have reached the data quality we wanted for our digital marketing. We can now see much more clearly where our activities are working and where we need to make adjustments.”

Peter Rosa, CIC (Schweiz), Marketing & Communication

Starting point

Like many financial institutions, CIC (Schweiz) faced growing challenges in digital tracking. Browser restrictions, consent rules and ad blockers led to incomplete data and made it harder to judge campaign performance.

The existing data gave a solid foundation, but it lacked the depth needed for precise analysis and cross-channel optimisation. The goal was to regain control of the data and significantly improve the quality of insights, while of course meeting the highest data protection standards.

What we did

To improve data collection, Adisfaction-Annex introduced the server-side tracking technology from JENTIS. Working closely with the marketing and web teams at CIC (Schweiz), we designed and implemented a tailored setup.

A full website redesign took place at the same time, which meant the integration could be aligned perfectly with the new technical infrastructure.

The JENTIS system captures user behaviour more precisely and more reliably, and makes previously untracked interactions far more visible. The former client-side setup in Google Tag Manager was replaced entirely. All tracking processes now run server-side and in line with data protection rules.

Results

Introducing JENTIS has lastingly improved the depth and reliability of the bank’s digital reporting. With a stable tracking uplift of around 40 % over several months, CIC (Schweiz) gains far more sessions and interactions. Above all, it gains a sound data foundation, even as tracking conditions continue to change.

The server-side infrastructure makes even previously untracked interactions visible, so they feed into analysis and optimisation for the first time.

This case clearly shows that data protection and data-driven marketing do not have to be at odds. Despite the strictest compliance requirements, the new setup delivers better data quality, more transparency and reliable insights for well-targeted campaign decisions.
