Background
As a strong challenger in the online trading market, Strateo came to us with a clear brief: keep driving growth in line with its ambitious targets. The client wanted to rebuild its digital performance marketing from the ground up and steer new customer acquisition centrally through digital channels. Hard and soft leads were also to be redefined and given a maximum cost per action based on the marketing goals.
adisfaction developed and implemented a concept to match. Throughout the year-long campaign, we kept testing, comparing and optimising further approaches and channels.
Execution
Together with Strateo, adisfaction developed a modular campaign concept. From different retargeting levels to conversion optimisation on the landing page, every key component was considered and built into the project to raise conversion rates across the sales funnel for the long term. Another success factor was a highly flexible budget allocation, guided at all times by the ROI of each channel (including SEA, display, social media, programmatic display ads and affiliate marketing). The budget was recalibrated according to how each channel performed.
The customer journey was at the heart of the campaign at all times, and our job was to understand and optimise it. To do this, we tested channels and targeting intensively, especially in the early phase, and ran attributed multi-channel analyses.
Results
The complex set-up for boosting performance paid off: the client’s annual target was far exceeded. Detailed settings, an efficient channel mix and A/B tests led the client straight to top results. Going forward, the focus is on the ongoing management and optimisation of the system and on developing innovations that increase efficiency.
